Boost – Kazi Day is a one-day, interactive career-readiness experience created by the Canadian Youth of East Africa (YEA), tailored for newcomer youth ages 18 to 29 who are full of potential.

This unique event is part of YEA’s BOOST program and is designed to equip young people with the foundational tools they need to enter the workforce with clarity, confidence, and a competitive edge.

Participants will take part in practical, youth-focused workshops that focus on:

• 🔹 Career Awareness – Understand what jobs are available, what industries are growing, and what roles match your interests and skills.

• 🔹 Resume Building – Learn how to write a standout resume even if you have no “official” work experience and leave with a completed draft in hand.

• 🔹 Job Search Preparedness – Discover where to look for jobs, how to apply, and what to say in an interview. Practice through mock interviews and real-world tips.
